What is the purpose of Confederate Wing?

Confederate Wing is the personal website and online writing repository of Andrew Walt, an undergraduate student of Classical Studies at the University of Toronto who also serves as web editor/journalist for The Newspaper, the campus’ free weekly independent.

Over the past few years as a hobby, I’ve written dozens of articles and reviews on things of interest to me. The point of this site is to house them all as an open archive.

Why “Confederate Wing”?

To make a long story short, I used to make fun of a kid in my old high school who wrote Halo fan-fiction under the title of United Wing. I thought it was a catchy title, so I tweaked it a bit and took it as my own. That’s really all there is to it.
